Well, I just dropped my girls off at the bus stop. And, today is the first day of exams at their school. Time seems to be moving at an accelerated pace. The school year is winding down and the first official day of summer vacation will be next Friday, May 29, 2009.
How did we get here so fast?
We just started the new school year, didn't we?
My girls are already 14 and 16 years old, and as each year passes, the next one flies by more quickly.
I hear that the older you get, the faster it goes. Uh-oh, I better hold on for the ride.
We must remember that our time here is precious and we must utilitize each minute, each hour, each day.

Hi Sandy-It does seem that way the older you get and this year is most definitely flying by. We are almost at the middle of the year and it does seem like only yesterday it was Christmas Have a great weekend. <SMILE>
Sandy, it is so true about accelerating time. My theory has to do with the denominator. One year when you are 10 yr old is 10% of your life. At age 50, 1 divided by 50 is 2%, so hence it seems much shorter. You are right. Cherish each day. Your girls are beautiful. They got that from you of course.
I like Gary's way of putting it. My kids are now 38 and 36. I remember so well how I felt and what I was doing at their age. Could it really have gone that fast?
Sandy, oh you are so right. Each day is a gift. Thanks for reminding me today. Your daughters are beautiful !!
Sandy,
What a lovely family. Thanks for sharing.
I assure you life does not slow down. I have been in Dallas almost two years now. Not sure where the time went.
Sandy, what lovely ladies you have there! Hold on for the ride exactly! The years fly by so fast, but always remember to live for today and make the most of every day you are given!
Hi Sandy
Where does the time go?
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
HI Sandy, Good post. Thanks for sharing.
Best - Sash
Time does go faster when you get older. Great picture of your girls!
Beautiful daughters! It won't be long before you're planning a couple of weddings. Then the fun really begins. . . grandma.
They sure get big quickly. You have some beautiful daughters.
WOW thank you for sharing... Your daughters are Beautiful have a great weekend,
Kim White
Hi Sandy! I just thought you posted that picture, too! LOL!! Time does fly by quickly - sometimes faster than we think it should --
You're right Sandy, our time here is precious - enjoy every minute!
Hi SS,
I agree, the older you get, the quicker life seem to go by... : (
Your girls are beautiful! : )
Sandy - I just got home from a road trip, and my eyesight was a bit blurry when I first looked at that picture. At first I thought I was seeing Siamese twins. But once my eyes settled down, I saw two very beautiful young ladies, who look a whole lot like their mother:-)
Hi Sharon, Christmas sure does feel like yesterday to me! I can't believe it.
Gary, I am truly blessed to have such great daughters! We must cherish each month - so true.
Norma, Oh boy, I bet your head is reeling. Time flies - I wish it would slow down sometimes.
Missy, Each day is indeed a gift. Thank you, I feel so fortunate that I have good girls.
Richard, I hate to hear that time speeds up - oh no-it's too fast now.
Caren, Great advice. I think that we must live today - and make the most of what we have today.
Hi Lou, I don't know - I sure wish I did.
Sasha, Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Toto, That's what I keep hearing. It goes too fast right now.
Hi Tom, Oh no, don't tell me that! Weddings! Not so fast! (lol)
Hi Rob, I remember just yesterday they were babies.
Kim, I just can't always take it all in, it moves so quickly.
Hey Miss Mary, I thought I just posted that picture too. Almost June - oh my gosh!
Hi TO, I hate hearing that time moves more quickly as you get older.
Myrl, I hope you had a wonderful trip! I am looking forward to getting away this summer for a short time. Thank you, sometimes I have to pinch myself, as I feel so lucky to have such great teenagers.
Sandy,
Just be happy you are not a bird! Their young only stay a very short time and then they fly away...
Enjoy your time together.
Ann
Hi Ann, I hate to think of the day it's time for my girls to leave - I love having them at home. I know your son just graduated college. I bet it flew for you, didn't it?
Sandy,
Yes, he graduated but is going to summer school and then getting his bachelors degree by next year so I have him for a while. The second son is taking a different path.
Have a terrific Thursday,
Ann
