The last couple of days have been glorious. We are experiencing some beautiful, crisp cool weather. It's been in the 60's in the mornings and has been getting up into the mid 70's during the day.
Now, I know that many are probably wondering what the heck I'm talking about, with crisp cool weather being in the 60's. I must be kidding, right? That's probably warm to some of you.
But, for us here in Florida this little cool snap has been quite a switch for us, as we've been having some hot, humid weather. I was going swimming in my pool, everyday, up until last week. Did I mention that I like the water to be around 82 degrees? Bathtub temperature, I know.
We've turned off the air conditiong, and opened all the windows. On Sunday night I was in blue jeans and had to throw a sweatshirt on. It's that thin Florida blood, I know. You'd never know that I was born in Illinois, would you?
So, we are basking in the glorious 70 degree weather. I've tried to get outside every spare moment that I can. My daughter, Stephanie and I have been taking the dog to the park for long walks. I love it.
But, as the days progress, we can feel that thermometer inching it's way up again.
I just hope that it doesn't go back to being too warm again.

We have been loving it over here in central Florida too, although I do miss that ocean breeze!
Sandy - My windows are open right now and I love it. I also love the heat, but it's a nice change.
Weather sounds great...we just went through 5 days of driving rain so to see the sun, regardless of the temperature, is a real relief!
Sandy, The advantages of living in Florida.....the weather! I love warm weather and don't mind hot weather; it's the cold I can't stand :( I had planned to rent somewhere in FL for a little while during the winter--I may still do that!
I have one word to describe the recent weather....GORGEOUS! We certainly are blessed living here in sunny Florida!
It sounds like perfect weather. We've had beautiful, sunny days also but just a bit cooler.
Sandy you are funny, but if it was 60 degrees, I would have to put on a sweatshirt, too -- with any amount of humidity - I think that's cold LOL!! Now here?? We have a dry cold. Glad you are enjoying some great fall weather, Sandy!
Sandy, I think this is stange, we in OHIO are expecting 70 degrees today! Are our worlds merging???
Oh sure, rub it in our faces up North. :) Have a great day Oompa!
Allison, Hasn't the weather been gorgeous? I just love it right now.
Michelle, We're still fortunate to have the windows open too. I can feel the heat come slowly creeping back in.
Craig, We get that sometimes in August through the beginning of October, It depends on what's going on in the Tropics. This year everything has been quiet.
Carole, You should come on down and stay awhile. The weather is perfect...
Colleen, We're not used to no humidity. It's been such a nice switch!
Irene, I wish it were like this all year long. It would be perfect. But, we're awfully lucky to live in Florida.
Mary, Really, if it were 60 degrees there you would have to put a sweatshirt on. I seriously wouldn' t have guessed that. I know people that are in jeans and a tee shirt in that kind of weather.
Caren, Wow, that is a coincidence, isn't it? Hmmm, have to think on that one.
Hi TOTO, I have heard that it is cold and dreary in some spots up north.
Sandy,
Sounds very nice. We have had several days of rain; however it is sunny and nice here today.
