We have had some thick fog here in several counties of Florida that is covering the roads like a blanket. This is uncommon in our area. We seldom see fog in the late afternoon/evenings, and I can't remember ever seeing it this thick.
Visibility in some areas has been 1/4 mile to a mile.
Driving home the other night it was quite difficult to see the road.
The news has reported that the fog should be lifting soon.
For a split second, it reminded me of growing up in Illinois and the beginning of a snow storm, with the way the fog glistened on the windshield of the car.

Sandy, it does look like a snowstorm....I should know, we had one last night! Enjoy the sunshine, I am enjoying it myself today!
Wow, I thought we had some serious fog the last few days, but nothing compared to that.
That's a bit scary to be driving in that thick fog. Stay safe.
Sandy, of all weather conditions to drive in I think fog is the worst! Hope it has lifted by now!
Sandy, no picture taking while driving allowed! About the fog though, I only experienced it like that once from Vero northward, you're in the thick of it..
Hi SS,
Wow, that is some heavy fog!! We have been having a lot here as well. I love to look at it over the water. Eerie!
Caren, You just had a snowstorm. I remember them from my early years growing up, This was really strange.
Jeff, So you've had some fog lately too? I hope we don't see this again anytime soon.
Irene, It was quite hard to see, that's for sure.
Mary, We really don't see alot of fog here, usually only in the mornings and only every once in a while. So we are fortunate. I agree, I prefer not to be on the road under these circumstances.
Hi Kevin, No driving and taking pictures? Oh come on... did you know that I can drive and talk on the phone and eat a hamburger at the same time? LOL - just kidding.
Hi TO, This was very unusual to see fog like this in the evening.
Sandy,
You should come to Missouri and experience snow first hand....

Oompa, the first two pictures look like UFO's in the night sky! Happy Holidays!
Hi Ann, Well, missy, I may just take you up on that someday.
Hi TOTO, Well, I guess you're right, they do look like UFO's - uh oh, maybe they were!
Sandy,
I think you should!! We have some falling right now...
