I have a friend that truly believes that the universe aligns itself so that everything that happens to us, happens for a reason. Often times these events occur so that we can learn something from them. They come at inconvenient times in our lives. But, later we gain a better understanding of why they happened when they did. Ironically, the timing was because there was a bigger and better plan set out for us, that we were unaware of.
We are all a part of a plan, a bigger master plan. A plan that we may not know where or how we fit into. So, we realize there are some things in our lives that are out of our control.
Difficult things happen in our lives so that we can learn to appreciate the good things. For every negative thing, a positive thing takes it's place...perhaps not always right away. But, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
The negative things help us build character, make us more resilient, and help us grow stronger.
These things happen for a reason. They provide us with a reality check. They help teach us to look within, for our inner strength, to change things in our lives that aren't working for us any longer. They help give us a different perspective on our lives.
They help teach us to cherish the precious times in our lives.
And, they teach us to appreciate how truly blessed we really are.
It's all part of the master plan.

Great point we need to focus on the big picture to be successful.
Good luck and success.

Duane, Me too. A rollercoaster is a reminder of our real estate market over the past several years.
Lou, We do have to stay focused on the bigger picture.
Hi Sandy,
Thanks for sharing your informative and interesting post
Hi Sandy, Very good thoughts for today. I tend to believe the same way, everything does happen for a reason. Some of those things happen because of something we did or didn't do, and some things are beyond our control. It's good to see the big picture and count our blessings everyday.
Hi Sandy, I absolutely believe that....everything comes our way for a reason, the good and the not so good. During the more difficult times we do have to grow and later somehow end up stronger....It would be nice to think that everything is in our hands but it's not what I believe and in retrospect, you can often see WHY things happened.
Sandy - I'm one of those that believes that too! One thing many folks don't know about me is that I am an astrologer. I have done charts where coincidence and consequence are far too close to be mere chance!
Like when I forgot to bring page two of the contract with me today for a written offer? I think I will double check everything for now on.
Does the term "instant karma" bring any relief to the situation!
Sandy,
Yes, everything happens for a reason... Sometimes we do not understand why and sometimes we never will. Hang in there!
Ann
I always try to look at the big picture, It does teach me to cherish the precious times in my life. Thank-you Sandy!
Back in my military life, we used to call this the big picture. There were always rumors of who had it, but we never could find it!
Lou, I think that sometimes we lose sight of that bigger picture. It's what's most important.
Don, Your welcome. Thanks for stopping by.
Mary, I think that we have control over some things in our lives. Whereas others, we have no control - accidents, some illnesses, etc. I think it's important to stay focused on the things we can control and hold on tight for the things that we can't. We must always strive to move forward even when there are bumps in the road. I agree, we are all blessed.
Carole, You're so right - sometimes we don't understand why things happen at the time they are taking place. It makes no sense. Only later, we adapt and change and then often we find that there was a better time in the future, for those things to take place. So true.
Myrl, Really? I had no idea that you were involved in astrology! That must be so interesting. So, you probably have a greater understanding of why things happen as they do.
Hi John, You're so funny. I hate when that happens! I'm such a fanatic about checking and double checking things - probably too much.
Kevin, Oh I truly believe in karma. What goes around comes around. So true.
Ann, I think you're right. Things do happen for a reason and some of them are explainable. Whereas we may never understand or know why other things happen - great point. It's all a part of the bigger plan.
Paul, It's all about cherishing the special events and people in our lives, isn't it? Because that's really what it's all about, isn't it?
Gabe, That's funny, It is about the big picture, but I never thought about it quite like that - we never really know who has it...interesting thought. And who really controls it? Maybe we do, more than we know.
How true. I love the pic of the roller coaster!
I have friends that believe that too. I hope it is true because I have some big changes coming up myself I am unsure about!
