The second annual Brevard County Fair began yesterday, March 18 and runs through March 27. It will be held at the Wickham Park Pavilion on the Brevard Community College Campus.
The fair has fun for all ages. There will be carnival rides, music, and singing. There will be a horse expo, a 4H competition and a poultry show. And what's a fair without a chili cookoff?
It promises to be a great time for the whole family.
The fair will also host several seminars including a gardening expo, cooking with herbs, and catching fish.
Fair hours are 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM Friday, 12 Noon to 11:00 PM Saturdays and 12 Noon to 10:00 PM on Sundays
Prices for fair admission are $8.00 (includes rides) Sunday to Thursday and $10.00 (includes rides) Friday and Saturday
See you at the fair!

I love county fairs Sandy, a long tradition that I hope never goes out of style. Hope you have fun at yours!
Hey Mary, We are looking forward to a weekend of nice weather and hoping to head to fair soon. It should be lots of fun. I love all the different events that the fair has to offer. I agree, I hope they never go out of style.
Sandy, I love a good county fair with live stock and exhibits! It really shows off the hidden talents an area has to offer. Have a great weekend!
I always loved the county fairs as a child. I loved to ride the scary rides!
silvia, We recently went to the Florida State Fair over in Tampa. It was great, I have never seen so many chickens, cows and rabbits in one place, It was great.
Debra, The fair is such a great place, with so many different things to do. I also rode the rides as a kid, but I can't seem to stomach them as an adult. I leave that fun to my teenage daughters. I'd had to toss my cookies.
Sandy it is funny that you say that. As a kid I rode everything at the fair and at the amusement parks. Now you can't me to ride any of that stuff. I am a scaredy cat. I don't know what the heck happened to me!
Looks like fun Sandy. I always love the fairs (not to mention the great food at the fairs).
Hi Debra, Really, so you rode the rides as a kid, but as an adult you don't any longer. I usually hear that it's because of a neck problem or it makes one too dizzy now. I don't because it throws my equilibrium out of whack. I wonder what did happen to you, especially if you're not afraid to be out riding one of those motorcycles you showed us the other day. That takes some guts.
Gabe, We had a great time until the thunderstorms came rolling in on Sunday afternoon. Oh, the fair food...corn dogs, popcorn, funnel cake. fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pizza...pick your poison. LOL
I love the fair... especially all the food. Now you have me craving a funnel cake. We went for a bike ride Saturday and it was beautiful out. Monday the snow was falling again but didn't stick.
Yes go figure! The motorcycles don't scare me at all!
