Summer vacation is officially over. Monday was the first day back to school for Brevard County students.
I know that many weren't ready to end their summer fun.
My girls were looking forward to getting back into a regular routine. And, oh what a routine it is, between dancing, cheerleading, bowling, hitting the gym for powerlifting and the track team I know that time will absolutely fly.
The older they get it seems the quicker time goes.
This year my oldest daughter will be driving to school. I have already seen the change it's brought to my life. I love it and so does she! It's been incredible, because it frees me up to do so many more things.
So here's to another terrific year of school!
Here Stef and Sam were having fun trying on hats at Ron Jon Surf shop in Cocoa Beach.

Hi Sandy, I hope the girls have a fantastic year! It's hard to believe it's already back to school time. They look adorable in those hats!
School is back in session so my drive times have been altered...but nothing like yours with two busy girls. Enjoy the times!
Here! Here! To another terrific year. Time flies when you're out shopping for hat's. I had tried one on exactly like Stef has while at a NJ surf shop just last month. Stylish!
Hi Sandy! What a great shot of your girls and those hats look great on them! I hope their school is air conditioned! May they have a great 2010-11 school year!
Mary, August already and back to school. They both love it and are glad to be back.
Gary, Now that I'm not taking my girls to and from school I tend to forget about school zones. So I know what you mean - it takes a bit longer to get around.
Kevin, We really had a fun day! Hey if you and Stef bought the same hat we could all go fishing together. How about these? We could go horseback riding with these hats.
Bruce, School again - hooray! There school is right across the street from the beach. Although it is a very open campus and some of the hallways are outside, the offices and classrooms are indeed air conditioned. We had a great day trying on fun hats and taking pictures.

It's been a fast summer for the kids, Palm Beach County starts school on the 17th.
Good luck and success.

Time to take great care during the school hours at crossings and school bus stops, especially with the young ones.
Sandy - That's a great photo of your girls. And, you are so right about time going faster as they get older. . .It goes faster than smoke through a keyhole:-) I'm still trying to understand the rationale of sending kids back to school so early in summer. Here in California they are saying it is a cost saving maneuver. But that doesn't compute when you take in the cost of airconditioning classrooms.
I can't believe how time flies! SCARY!
Have a successful weekend Sandy!

Decisions, decisions!
Lou, It really has been a very quick summer. Glad they are back in school. I know the different counties start at different times.
Gabe, We do have to take time to remember that we've got school buses and school children to be mindful of.
Myrl, It seems earlier all the time, however they got out of school around May 20, so that was pretty early. Start early and end early. I don't get it either. And it has been unbearably hot here.
Paul, Times just whizzes by...just like Myrl said...like smoke through a keyhole.
Kevin, So which hat is it going to be? I think you would look good in the fishing hat, but then again, horseback riding is a lot of fun.
