You're funny!  I hope that it doesn't work when you put your own name in there!  Thanks for the chuckle.  I'll be interested in the future to see just how accurate it really is....  Take care and have a great week!

Hi Mike,  I hope it works as good as I have heard that it does.  As a landlord, I was as excited about hearing about it as you were!  It will be interesting to use it in the future!  Best wishes to you!

Hi David,  I heard about the site through consumer advocate guru Clark Howard.  http://clarkhoward.com/ He typically puts out excellent consumer information.  I agree - I hope the information is accurate.  Have fun using it!  Take care of yourself!

Sandy,

That is awesome, thank you. After being a cop for 11 years and being away from the PD for the last 5, I think my welcome is worn out of calling on my ex-patrol partners to run people, so this is great timing! :)

Be Blessed!

Hi Travis, Glad to share the information. Boy, I bet that it was very easy for you before, to get the necessary information you needed while being on the police force.  I have heard that this is a really great site!  We'll see! Do you miss being a police officer?  That must be the hardest job in the world!  Thank you for your 11 years of service!  Best wishes to you and take care of yourself!

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Wow Sandy, that was sweet of you to say, thank you! I can't say that I miss the police career too much. I felt God used me during my time on the force but after having my daughter 5 years ago (her birthday is Sunday) my heart definitely changed. Fortunately I found serving people in the area of finance and guiding my clients in debt management and investing became as rewarding if not more then "protecting and serving." :)

Thanks again for putting a smile on my face today!

Be Blessed!

This is an awesome tool!

Just typed in some people I knew and was surprised with what came up!

What is really scary is do the sex offender search by typing in your address. I have 2 offenders in my affluent neighborhood, I had no idea!!! urrgghhhh.

Posted by Travis Neliton (Mortgage Express) over 3 years ago

Hi Travis, Being a police officer seems to me to be such a thankless job, with not enough pay for what you do!  My older sister was married for 7 years to a man that wanted to become a police officer.  She told him that she would not be married to someone on the force.  She told him that he would be killed within his first two years (I know, sounds terrible-but he was very headstrong).  Well, they divorced a bit later.  A year later he joined the Palm Bay Florida police force.  He and another officer were killed in the line of duty by a lone gunman, William Cruse.  He was the first officer on the scene, wasn't able to get out of his car and got 8 bullets to the chest. It was awful!  He died a hero, however, nonetheless, he still died! What a terrible shame!  He was very young too.  The other officer had a young family!  It was very sad.  So, I know that you guys have had the worst and hardest job in the world. You made a wise decision to leave for your little girl!  Tell her Happy Birthday! Hug and kiss her every single minute that you can.  Our children are our blessings!

Keep up the great job in helping people buy homes!  You are invaluable to all of us!

You're way ahead of me...I hadn't even tried the sex offender thing yet.  I know we had one right down the street, but she moved last year!

Best wishes to you and your family!

Manolis, You're scaring me now.  You said you typed in people that you know, and found things out about them that you didn't know...uh oh...not good...is it?  Sometimes I think that today too much information is available.  Some things I would just rather not know!  Take care of yourself and don't type in too many names...you may have to completely update your "friends" listing. (kidding)

I did type in several names and it showed zero and I know they should have several things on their record so I don't know if this could be very accurate.

Posted by Norma J Elkins Realtor Elkins Home Selling Team ( Exit Triple "E" Realty) over 3 years ago

Sandy, thanks for sharing this great site!  I gave it a try and was surprised to find out a few things about some of my "associates" and of course some that I wasn't too surprised about at all. :)  Sometimes a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Posted by Anita S. Crum ~ Hampton Roads Real Estate (757) 692-6438 (RE/MAX Peninsula) over 3 years ago

Hi Norma, Uh-oh!  Hmmm....I am still testing it out. I suppose as time progresses I will get a better idea of just how good the site is.  So far for me, every name that I have typed in have turned up the information that I knew was supposed to be there.  I suppose in any website such as this, there is a certain margin of error.  Have a great day!

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Hi Anita, I think you are right. We are in such an information age.  Today we can find out just about anything on anyone.  Sometimes I think there are things that we would just rather not know about other people.  I think this is a great tool for landlords and property managers in prescreening prospective tenants.  Take care of yourself!

Hi Sherry, Best wishes to you using this website. I like it alot.  Sometimes it provides a bit tooo much information on people -things that you would rather not know on certain people.  It seems that today we can find out anything at all on anyone that we want information on (a bit scary).

Hey Sandy What an awesome find - I entered a name of someone I know who's had a "past and sure enough....the name came up with the info regarding that offense. Great tool that can help protect ourselves and clients intereste. Thank you Soooo much for sharing with us!

I entered the name of someone I know who's a convicted felon, and the only thing that came up is a 10-year old speeding offense.  This person has been in trouble for drugs, fraud, and theft so I don't see how the search could have been so blank if they provided accurate info.

Posted by Sylvie Shurgot - Real Estate Broker - San Antonio - (210) 380-8681 (Sylvie Shurgot Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Hi Sylvie, I have heard mixed reviews on the site.  I know a handful of people that have a long list of arrests on their records and I found them all!  Interesting.   I suppose it's like anything else.  The information coming out is only as the info going in.

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Great tool.  Thank you.  I think I'll have to change my name.  There are WAY too many of me out there.

Posted by Steve Hall ABR, CIAS, CDPE, GREEN (RE/MAX United) over 3 years ago

Hi Steve, Uh oh - that's not good.  Funny you say that - I just recently received an application from a prospective tenant with a very, very common first and last name combination.  I knew he had a ticket or two, but when I pulled the list, it curled my toenails.  I had to take about 15 minutes to go through all of the birthdates to sort through the info to find out which records were his and which weren't.  I almost didn't rent to him because of what I found on file -that was a case of too much information available.

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Sandy - I couldn;t even get a library card right away when I was in high school because there are so many bad Steve Halls. :)

Posted by Keith Perry - REALTOR® -West Metro Atlanta (Coldwell Banker) over 3 years ago

Hi Steve, After I wrote the last comment about the tenant whose common name showed up numerous times, I had to pull an old file of mine.  Back in 1999 I sold a home for a customer named Steve Hall.   HONEST TRUTH!  Your name kept dragging at me, and I couldn't remember for sure...so I had to pull the file.  TOOOOO funny!  So, there's another one for you.  I would hate to have a real common name - I  would think it would make things quite complicated!

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

Hi Keith, You're welcome!  I hope that you find it useful!  I use it with for my rentals, too.  Have a great weekend!

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago

I have to say I tried it and used my own name knowing I dont have a crimial past, and my name came up with like 17 arrests, not a good thing.  Of course this person with my same name, First, Middle, and Last, was born on 1953....Scarry that someone would use this information against me, when it isnt me.  I also put in a name of an individual that I served on jury duty, and knew was guilty and he didnt show up, so I am a bit leary...I dont trust the site, just my opinion

Posted by Sharon Fleming, Realtor® Port St Lucie~Florida (RE/MAX Masterpiece Realty) over 3 years ago

Hi Sharon,  I have used the site several times and found a lot of correct information. However, I have heard mixed reviews from others on it.  I suppose the information coming out is only as good as the information going in.  I have also heard stories like yours and experienced it myself with people with the same name having a very lengthy criminal record.  My recommendation is that if you feel uncomfortable with it's accuracy, then don't use it.  Have a great weekend!

Posted by Sandy Shores - Melbourne FL Real Estate ,Realtor®, M & M Real Estate Inc. (Brevard County Real Estate/ Melbourne & Palm Bay Real Estate) over 3 years ago
