I love living in Melbourne Florida! I have been here since 1975 and will probably stay for another 30+ years if I'm lucky. This is where my family and I call home.
There are beautiful sights everywhere we go.
Today, I had oodles of errands to run. One stop took us to the grocery store. As we were pulling out, this is what we found...

OHHHH Sandy how cool is this! You know a few years ago - there was a pair of ducks that flew in every spring and spent a lot of time (spring- summer) at our place. This happened for about 4 years in a row. They would fly in and sit quietly each morning and afternoon on our deck railing, ate and drank from little bowls (when they weren't out wandering the lawn for lunch)....we named them MAL and his GAL...these photos brought back a nice memory. You have a great week-end and keep yourself away from the storm. I'll be sending good thoughts your way!
CHeers!
Hey Teresa, You're so sweet! Thanks for sharing the great story! I am so glad the pictures brought you such a pleasant memory. It was such a nice surprise to see these little guys today. Thanks for the well wishes for the storm. We had over 27 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Fay. Many of our neighbors have lost their homes, and have started to rebuild. Florida cannot take anymore rain right now. People to the North of us in Orlando are in terrible shape with standing water. I feel for the people in New Orleans. I truly hope they understand the severity of Hurricane Gustav! Take care of yourself!
It's so nice to know that amidst your busy day of running errands, you took time to appreciate something so beautiful...and one of God's creations.
Hi Rebecca, How are you? I love it when I go somewhere and something so special brings me back down to the reality of how beautiful an area we live in.
