We've all met them... people that have little faith in their abilities, their talents. They feel as if they have no chance of taking charge of their lives. And it struck me that
Some have less faith in themselves than in things they can't control.
-we don't stop and look over our vehicle, under the hood, and at all the tires, each and every time, before we get in it and get on the road.
-we have faith that the drivers on the road, complete strangers, around us are going to abide by the rules of the road, and keep us safe.
-we don't stop to interview an airline pilot before we board a plane, to be sure he is qualified to fly that giant airliner.
-we don't know the school bus driver of the bus that drives our children to school each day.
-we blindly jump on board a carnival ride, not knowing how quickly the "crew" threw it together the night before, when they pulled into town.
-we don't stop and closely inspect a meal that we pick up at a fast food restaurant before we eat it.
It seems that so many have faith in things that can't be controlled in their lives.
But, some have so little faith in the one thing they can control...
their own lives and their own destiny...THEMSELVES!
And faith in oneself begins with loving yourself!

that for you

Very true.. and you make some excellent points. We do need to be our own master.. Great Post thank you
Sandy - Very nice thought. We do need to have the trust in ourselves more than others!
We have faith but it is difficult in these times as we ask why and are faced with silence. We must also have patience to see the answer revealed
Sandy, well said! Having faith in ones abilities and self esteem will make for a happier life all around. Thanks.
Hi Sandy! What a terrific post! I love the way you pointed this out! We really only have control over ourselves. Awesome, Sandy!! Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
Sandy,
This is so true....
Thanks for sharing your thoughts,.

Sandy, it is funny how controlling ourself is the most controllable yet we don't "think" in that area near enough. Thanks for bringing this thought up.
Sandy, I think it helps to have a outlook on life where you see it as a basically user-friendly place!
Sandy - There is so much truth in your words. Just the other day when the airplane went down in the waters of New York City, I had the thought - probably none of those folks on board had interviewed that pilot about his competency before taking off on that flight. YET, they were so fortunate to have been in his care on that particular day.
Personally, I agree with John Lennon's words, "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans." I make plans to have some control, but more often than not, destiny gets into mischief :-) I've learned to embrace the unexpected, which provides me more gifts than I could have ever imagined.
You make a very good point here. I think alot of people are just very self consious. I know I am at times. When ever I feel that feeling coming over me I just think of the things I've accomplished that were difficult. Doing this tends to give me confidence when I'm low on it.
Sandy, what a great post. Sometimes the obvious needs to put right in front of our faces.
Hi Mark, So true, you must be the master of your own destiny.
Hi Gary, We must trust ourselves first!
Hi Charlie, I think that we must look inside to our faith and listen to our own inner voices.
Michael, I agree, that does bring happiness!
Hey Miss Mary, Thanks dearie. Hope you have a great day!
Hey Ann, Your welcome, always a pleasure!
Gary, So true, it is the thing that we can control the most, but often times don't.
Patricia, I agree. We must look at our lives as living in a user friendly place.
Hi Myrl, You said that so beautifully! Love the viewpoint!
Justin, I think sometimes we need to give ourselves a dose of confidence every now and then.
Tony, I agree, sometimes we miss the most obvious things.
